Then I became a chef for fifteen years and completely burned the passion from my system.
Then I got into disability and started making meals for people from what's in their cupboards.
I've gotten a name for it and now cook for most of my clients.
I could feel the passion coming back again.
One client of mine has an extreme intellectual disability, non-verbal and little movement.
The highlight of his day is eating.
His meals usually consist of meat and vege, blended.
But I've been experimenting with herbs and spices and separating each blended vegetable, each with it's own unique but complimentary taste.
It's time consuming, but I know my client can tell the difference.
My passion is back now.
Eventually I'd like to develop a cookbook for carers.
