The only faith needed is the same faith you put into science as a means of discovery. meaning if you want to knwot he truth about God have enough faith to honestly follow the directions he left and honor and honestly follow where he leads.

Meaning don't ask God for direction and oppertunity to go to church or to some study comes up and you dismiss it as a fluke. If you ask for truth or direction and an oppertunity to explore it honest appears then follow it with an open mind see where it leads.

I see you don't know what science is.

Science among other things is the method by which we remove our preconceptions to come to truth.

Its why religions hate science so much.
