@PRJA93 @EgoDeath No you're reading your own inflection and bias into typed in words. So you don't assume someone will be merging unless you see a blinker? Let's be real, you do make assumptions. It's part of your "watching everyone and being alert". However, both of those are reactive driving without assumptions and intuitions made. The safest driving is legal, cordial, reactive, proactive and biased with safer than sorry approach. I agree with you that a zipper merge would be far safer and better for traffic IF all drivers were on the same page. It's to bigof an IF, IMO. Much like the metric system here in the US, I see it falling flat because we Americans are like a bunch of cats, more often than not.
