Zipper merge is superior to a free for all, which I did admit after my initial point. I don't feel it is going to fix the most prevalent type of crashes I've seen from experience, was my point initially. It's not better than ramp meters, which is just one alternative, which I made and you dismissed. Neither stance undermines the overriding lawfulness that people merging must merge into traffic safely, which was my overarching point. Neither stance or method prevents me from being the courteous and safe driver that I am, which was my alternate point after being called a disingenuous dick.

The conversation was still continuing until you declared it not to. You claimed I was being dismissive and I extrapolated why I summed up my thoughts saying that zippers would be useless in the US and why. If you would just like to dismiss those points or these because you disagree then go ahead, it's expected of you. I only ever discussed your POV might be naive if it is X. At no other time did I even characterize my thoughts about you personally. For me being the disingenuous dick, it sure seems all indicators are pointing the opposite direction, but I don't really care enough to make the assertion.

I just don't see a point in continuing the conversation. You've learned zipper merge is better for traffic; which was the only point I was making in the post you responded to. Now that we've established that, there's nothing else to talk about. You saying you're a nice and courteous driver is a bit contrary to a few of the attitudes you've espoused in this thread, but I won't pretend to know how you are in real life, I can only go off what you've given me here. So, yea, not really much more to say on the subject.
