A fact can imply (suggest) a great many things. It may correctly be called 'evidence'. However, that is not the same as an inference (conclusion)
I think you need to distinguish between evidence and proof.
Evidence is anything whatsoever presented in support of an argument or position. eg Logical argument, all sacred writings, commentaries. written accounts of say miracles, and personal testimony ,are ALL evidence of say the existence of God. What they are not, is proof.
Formal logic does not make truth statements. ALL logical propositions have the caveat' IF A---then--------
The premise is always accepted for the sake of argument. The inference ( conclusion) from that premise is true IF AND ONLY IF the original premise is true.
