Ok first of all it’s fresa, and it literally translates to strawberry. The terms fresa and boujee are a silly way of calling someone fancy. If you think calling someone fancy compares to using a racial slur somehow...there’s no hope for you.
Not allowing someone to spoil a fun chat room with racial slurs is somehow reverse racism. That’s the most stupid thing I’ve heard in a while.
Do you think that Steelcurtain's privileges from slack would have been removed if he had used the same expression? And I disagree with you on it being a racial slur in this context. If a black person says to a homie, "Whassup, nigger?" then it is an affectionate use of the term, similar to as if a homosexual man were to use the terms homo or faggot. That I was removed seems to have more to do with the fact that I am not black, and that it might have been excused if a black person, such as Steelcurtain, were to use it. That you are so insensitive to the differences in usage and how it is used in black culture seems to make you the insensitive one who is applying her milquetoast, whitebread and politically correct sensibilities in a broad and indiscriminating manner instead of dealing with the specifics of the langauge in question and how it relates to race. That itself is a form of racism, as you are acting on a stereotype of the intentions and permissibility of a behavior which, depending upon the context, may be perfectly innocuous. That makes your attitudes on the question a case of an equal insensitivity to matters of race and language. I guess by your standards then, there's no hope for you. It was a mention and an example of the use of nigger that should not be considered offensive, and while I wasn't extremely conscious of it at the time, in addition to being a humorous rejoinder, that is the point, that the use of the word nigger is not automatically an offensive racial slur. That you appear to endorse my banning because you disagree with me on that question, and appear to have some feelings toward me based upon you're simply assuming you are right, appears to be an example of the questionable grounds of excision from slack that have been employed. That someone can be removed from slack for a difference of opinion is ridiculous. Moreover, your overall tone in this thread seems to suggest that you simply don't like me, a vibe I've picked up from you on more than one occasion. Is that not the case?
