I'm under the impression that Peterson was a regular deputy sheriff with 30 years experience at the Broward county sheriff's department. He was assigned to school as a resource officer, but he was a regular cop.
I stand corrected.
However - the Supreme Court ruling is quite clear.
He was under no obligation to risk his life.
This is simply a DA willing to throw the guy under the bus for political points - knowing well that he does not have a case that will stand up.
