OK, lets settle this once and for all.
The word atheist is Greek. The 'a' part means without, it's called a 'privative a'. Words with this 'privative a' are easily recognizable - asexual means without sex, amoral means without morality etc.

Regardless of what you want 'atheist' to mean it will always mean 'without God'. Even if you only consider there to be a 1 in a million chance God exists you are an agnostic. Accept this terminology, you can't ague that the word 'up' means 'down'.
