Twelve states produce over $10 billion on agricultural products per year, in order from most to least:

California, Iowa, Nebraska, Texas, Minnesota, Illinois, Kansas, Wisconsin, Indiana, North Carolina, Ohio, and South Dakota. Only two southern states on the list, Texas comes in fourth and North Carolina ninth.

I don't buy this 85% of agricultural products are generated by the southern states. California is 13% all by itself.
