Why does God get the credit?

It really gets on my nerves when God gets the credit for something that obviously had fuck all to do with him.

I've just been watching a tv programme called Long Lost Family, where a team of researchers track down family members for people who have been searching for years.
The case tonight was a woman searching for her mother... After the painstaking efforts of the researchers going into minute detail on census records her mother was found alive and well and living in Canada, they were reunited and all was well. The researchers then through DNA samples found her brother on her fathers side living only seven miles away, they were reunited and all was well.

Asked how she felt about finding her mother after all these years, and the bonus of finding her brother who she never knew existed, she replied "It's a miracle, amen."

I nearly choked on my beer.

I am having trouble where she is giving God the credit. She is simply recognizing it is a miracle she was able to find that family member. And from the sound of it, it was a miracle. I find it weird this bothers you so much.
