I get you, but I’m wondering whether the hallowed out remains of the gop actually are hostages.
The simpler explanation is that they don’t push back because they flat out agree.
For context, I think that many of them criticizing candidate trump was the better example of gamesmanship and distraction. Following in lock step now being their truest selves.
