The problem with the quoted bit is not that the two party system stops laws being enacted, it's that the governmental system was specifically designed to fossilise certain categories of law. The republitraitors are simply using the government as the founding fathers wanted and expected, to put a brake on democracy in favour of oligarchy.

And using that system designed to fossilize certain categories of law to fossilize virtually ALL categories of law, more or less gainsaying that that anything that the left wants to change (no matter how inconsequential or how much they'd actually want to change it) is good and must not be change?
