Except it literally is a fight-fight. And more. It's a competition to see which person can physically dominate the other via combat. It isn't bare-knuckle, sure.
And I'll do you one better, the UFC is essentially a soap-opera anymore. I'd encourage anyone interested in martial arts or combat sports to just go to a local gym or dojo and actually get involved in the sport or martial art, not watch it on tv.
