This is often true of partisan "true believers". My point about the incompetent press is that there are persuadable people in the polity, but the press's dogmatic partisanship and grotesque journalistic incompetence ensures they play no role as influencers. Whatever Trump's support level is--just under half the country or so--they are not all crazy like Trump.

You're making the same (wrong) assumption that Brian is - that everyone who voted Trump, supports Trump.

I know lots of people who voted Trump. 

Not "for Trump".

They figured he was slightly less worse (not better) than Hillary.
