Well, for one thing, the US recently lost a court case after maintaining that they were NOT required to keep detainees in safe and sanitary conditions. Making a legal argument that you aren't required to provide these people with toothbrushes, toothpaste, shower facilities, soap, towels and blankets certainly seems to make the case that the conditions at the camps are, really and truly, 'by intent and design'.
As a Christian, you should be ashamed of a government that treats children this way. Matthew 25: 44-45.
