Is it just how I remember it or is it more often not a single pit but two or more together when these things happen?
My son's girlfriend has a pit that is sweet as can be. Her pack is made up of people and a cat. The biggest threat to me is she is so happy to see me that she nearly bowls me over coming to say hello. Her exuberance may be because I usually have treats for her in my pocket.
People with dogs need to train and socialize them...according to the breed characteristics. The owner needs to be the alpha in the pack.
Kids need to learn how to approach dogs as soon as they can be taught and closely supervised when young. Little kids make sudden movements and sounds that can be interpreted as threatening to a dog.
