I said more in my post than just pointing to liberals that do the same thing.  I brought up liberals to make a point that it seems that most people will disregard something they oppose in the other party when their party does the same thing, not to say that it was ok.

Your whataboutism was evident in every line of your reply to Brian. Instead of addressing what that dimwitted pol actually said (other than calling it hyperbole, with no basis to do so), all you really had to say boiled down to, 'You should point out that other people do the same thing', which is the essence of whataboutism.
