She was at work, and I was at home. I slept in late, and woke up after the second tower collapsed. When I turned on the news when I woke up, she was still at work, but she got the news faster than I did, but both of us were in 100% shock.
It was a kick in the gut, and a very sudden fear of the unknown. My wife's factory let everyone go shortly after the second tower fell. She came home and both of us were just horrified and didn't know what to expect.
I was at the very end of the period when America policies were arguably of net benefit to mankind.

Some predicted the end times. But to be honest everybody saw America as an enemy that got what they deserve for targeting Muslim civilians..
Mmmm were people around here happy that an American behemoth like the WTC was turned to rubble ? I guess when you bomb the countries of others you can't expect them not to smile when you get the same treatment,,
I don't remember much about the event. The invasion of Iraq in 2003 carried a far more memories
