They would thrive as the party of the kitten killers. That would "own the libs" wouldn't it? which seems to be all a lot of americans want to do.
What Trumps presidency has revealed is just how many awful people there are in the US.
There does seem to be a very strong sentiment within the republican party of governance by spite. I just wish democrats were better at pointing this out.
