It is also as simple of thinking of the ice caps as the air conditioner of the planet. Overload the fridge by leaving the door open, and putting a blanket over it, the unit eventually breaks down. That is what burning greenhouse gasses are doing. Like if you stuck a live hair dryer on full blast in the fridge and put a blanket over it.

No, it is not as simple as middle school math. The difficult part is understanding why it is valid to abstract the vastly complicated problem into relative simple formula, and exactly which relatively simple formula is valid and why.
