People of great skills like engineers, physicians and political leaders are of great value. How can we possibly justify throwing away half of them because of antiquated stereotypes?
We have all kinds of problems but IMHO, throwing away the the talents of women is chief amongst them.
Yes, I too am most concerned that the next President of the USA will embody the skills we need to move forward and IMHO, that's Joe Biden. However, I would REALLY like to see a woman POTUS because IMHO, it's important. As bad as racism is, I think sexism is worse. We need to come to full realization that the female members of our species are fully as capable as the male members.
I agree, but I don't think having a female POTUS just to have one is anything we should consider. If Warren is going to be fit for office, then great, let's vote her in. But I don't really care to artificially insert some female POTUS into the Oval Office just to make some statement about women being under-represented.
I think, if anything, having a female President is only going to show that women can fuck the job up just as well as men do. It's really an archaic concept in my opinion.
