Why is there a serious option? Shouldn't serious be default?
I just put it because 'serious' seemed--like it should be--default.

I don't know that it is the biggest, you'll have to look around. The serious option is there because sometimes people post questions or some such that people don't take seriously, due to the nature of the question, or the way it was posed. It tells people that non-topical posts are off limits. Introduction threads don't need the [SERIOUS] notation, since it is supposed to be an introduction, not an argumentative discussion. Attacks are off-limits in an introduction thread.
