Obviously, Online Bastard thinks employing force in defending oneself in the face of being stalked and/or accosted by a stranger at night is deeply problematic--unless you are a hu-white man or woman, of course. 

If the roles were reversed in the sordid tale, I have no doubt OLB would be screeching that Zimmerman was well within his rights to shoot Martin for stalking and approaching him and that he had just cause to perceive him as a credible threat.

Zimmerman had no good reason for stalking and accosting the teen. Martin, however DID have good reason to be concerned for his safety and well-being. He was being being stalked by a creepy fucking weirdo who may very well have initiated the physical altercation, who knows? All we have is that sack of shit Zimmerman's word. Dead men tell no tales.

Sentiments as to what warrants self-defense constantly shift for folks like you, dependent on the melanin content (or immigrant status) of the parties involved.
