Yes, I'm not going to side with protecting his identity. There should be a public reaction and public consequences for his very public behavior.
But just because someone is outed does not mean that they (or their family) should be assaulted, of course I don't want that to happen. Any assaults would be other stupid people making his same mistake and then they should be placed in the same spotlight. The potential "what if" is not going to change my position.
But outing him increases the chance that he will be assaulted. I can appreciate the sentiment, but I can't support the action.
