Being an asshole didn't give Martin the right to physically assault Zimmerman.
As far as Zimmerman's reason for questioning Martin - I don' t know. I do know it was a gated community - this wasn't on a city street. Did Zimmerman know all the residents? Was it a retirement community where younger people stiod out?

The one fact that stands out is the forenic evidence the ME presented.
Martin started the physical altercation. That makes him the aggressor - not the victim.
That's how the law reads.
