How can such a simple entity create such a complex thing like the universe? Werent you one of those who alyways claimed that complexity is a hallmark of design? If god is so simple, i bet there is something more complex that created him. Something super-non-physical and super-slef-conscious, you know.
All the major Christian theological traditions define God as absolutely simple, with no parts.
Explanations of how simplicity generates complexity vary. What's agreed on, though, is that the absolute end of the chain of things that are necessary for other things to exist will be of complete simplicity.
In Neoplatonism, it's said that the One emanates the Many. In Buddhism, it's said that the Not-Two 不二 generates the Ten Thousand Things 万物.
I know you won't accept this, but this is the position of Christianity and several other theological traditions.
