Forgive my ignorance on the population of the Americas people. Here in Australia our geneticists et al, have recently published the conclusion that the Australian Aboriginal is "the oldest human society on the planet"

That depends on the cherry picking definition of "society". Humans have lived in Africa far longer than Australia.

I think the point was "outside of Africa" and stressed the "Migration - Out- of- Africa"
