Actually, the big issue in this case is that you used a very poor choice of words (specifically, "your kind" and implying that half of that kind waves around guns) when trying to debate her that risks derailing the discussion over the precarious balance of public safety and the ability of many people to actually sustain the recommended quarantine into just another row about racial issues that will never get resolved.

I was watching a nature show about crocks and gators a while ago, and it is unbelievable the bacteria and viruses that don't kill them. They evolved to eat dead rotted meat of their prey, and I don't mean fresh kill. Humans may hunt and kill animals and eat them, I don't hunt, but I sure love a good burger. But I would die if tried to eat a 3 day old dead cow raw.

And vultures are much the same. Their digestive system is an epidemiological dead end, so they can eat as many animal carcasses as they want and not get sick. And sadly, an antibiotic can kill them.
