True, but in reality, nobody has the right to assault someone merely because they offended them.

Dictatorships and theocracies are run by assholes who beat others into submission.

If merely getting offended were a justification for assault, then domestic violence would be legal.

Pretty sure there are lots of theists that would assault atheists even over merely saying their God is fiction.

In a civil society nobody gets to assault someone else because someone offended them.
