No..that is not reasoning. You are, as usual, making shit up on the spot.
Making stuff up on the spot is not reason. And if you believe in it, then it is Delusion.
I'm coming to a conclusion based on the information that has been given to me through the Bible. I believe the Bible is true, therefore my reasoning is firm, rev, I don't complain that you've lost your ability to reason just because you disagree.
You're a pretty fun guy, but you're starting to make me sound inferior and I don't like that, it hurts.
I am not the one making you sound inferior. you are the one posting things that you made up on the spot and expect us to consider them "reasoned". The bible is a work of fiction. You cannot pull reason from a workof fiction, nor can you use it as an authority on reason.
If I drew my beliefs from Harry Potter, and suggested that you did as well, would you not consider me delusional? And, during our converstaions over the supremecy of Harry Potter, I claimed that you were making me sound inferior... wouldnt you roll your eyes at me? you werent the one who made me post my Harry Potter beliefs, I was. If I believe that Harry potter is true, then according to you my reasoning is firm. Which is a slick way of saying that only I have reasoning, and if you dont believe in Harry Potter like I do, then your reasoning is flawed.
Do you not realize the many things you say and suggest on this thread are very much an insult to many people on this forum? Dont try to look like you are being persecuted when you have clearly opposed the freedoms of others, suggesting their lifestyles were not "healthy" or "good". You are pointing the finger just as sternly and you are being just as offensive.
your a pretty nice girl, but when you get to preaching you are very insulting to those around you.
Concerning the OP: If there are choices, there is freewill. El Dinero brought up an example with sandwhiches, let's try that again.
A man lays out four sandwhiches, beef, chicken, turkey and ham. He tells you, "choose turkey." Do you still have freewill? You do, because the options are still available the sandwhiches are sitting right there in front of you. You don't have to listen to that man, he's simply trying to control you, based on what you know of him you will decide if you'll obey. You don't have to choose any of the sandwhiches, maybe you're not hungry. You will use your own judgement to choose what you want, that is the basis of freewill.
Concerning the comments: Rev, I do appreciate you saying that I'm nice, thank you. You really cracked me up in the Amish thread...that was my first interaction with you and I wanted to keep our future interactions lively and fun like that, but around here people don't see Christians as humans, we're just animals basically and if we're not nice, we're banned, but if any of you want to abuse us, it's no problem.
Concerning reasoning: Where did you get this idea that I'm trying to be sneaky and insult people about their reasoning? someone posted a comment and I made a response and now suddenly I'm insulting people's reasoning because I tell you what I've learned in the Bible.
"And without faith it is impossible to please God, because anyone who comes to him must believe that he exists and that he rewards those who earnestly seek him." Hebrews 11:6
