He *was* a great tactician. Just like Mao was a great tactician. That doesn't mean they were on the right side, nor that they deserve statues in their honor. They don't.
But their methods *should* and can be usefully studied by those interested in aspects of military planning.
I agree, and that was my point.
But even outside war tacticians, it is incumbent on the sane and empathetic to not allow master and monster manipulators to get to power and put in those tacticians that lead to oppression in the first place.
War is unfortunately a matter of resources and strategy. Not that I would because Hitler was a fucking monster. But if he had simply took his time to build more modern weapons that he almost developed, and hadn't spread himself too thin, at a minimum he could have kept most of Europe. i am glad he was a dumbfuck though.
Hitler's flaw was he stupidly thought you could expand and use the resources of the defeated. But even that doesn't change he was a genocidal racist fuck.
