Now, don't get me wrong, Israel isn't going away, but even long before dumbfuck won the election on a fumble by dems, I have never liked Bibi Nuttyfuckwhoo. He is their version or our religious right wing. Bibi wants a "Jewish nation" just like our right wing like to claim we are a "Christian nation".
Western societies should not have officially sanctioned social pecking orders written into their national charters. Those are the products of theocracies. It is bad enough in both countries, that have far right sects.
Trying to make Jerusalem the capital is fucking nuts. No, I don't support Islamic terrorists either. I am simply tired of our right wing nuts too.
I don't think Christians or Muslims or Jews want to face the fact that prior polytheism existed in that same land long before any of them existed. I'd call upon all the sane worldwide to demand 45 BACK THE FUCK OFF. And Israel, tell Bibi to shut his war mongering mouth too. None of that is promoting Islamic terrorism or theocracies. Well, that's a dumb move. It's kind of creepy, seeing evangelicals being pro Israel. Because it's not about the jews to them. Israel is supposed to be a full country before the end times happen. Meaning they want this not because they support jews, but because they want the apocalypse to get kickstarted as early as possible.
I mean, it wasn't that long ago that some catholic guy from Germany decided to ethnically cleanse the jewish people from Europe, along with other groups, and the pope decided this wasn't worth excommunicating him for.
It isn't anything to our government and military, except resources and geopolitical power. Forget fighting for freedom and democracy. Forget peace in the middle east. This is just fubar.

No shit, If I was an Israeli or a Jew, I wouldn't find any right wing Christian to be my friend. It would be like having a friend who told you to cross a busy highway just so you'd get run over and stop traffic so they could cross.
But I am not going to give Jews or Muslims a pass either. All three of them claim their sky hero gave them the rights to that land.

It's funny how some christians will say islam is so different from them, and they don't worship the same god, yet their religions all consider the same city to be a sacred holy site.

That is because they all stem from the same head character. None of the three want to face that. Just like you'll never get most Buddhists to admit their religion is a spin off of Hinduism.
The God of Abraham is the same fucking God of all three, and prior to being a monotheistic God, it was stolen by early Hebrews from it's former polytheism of the Canaanites where Yahweh was a lesser god in a divine family under the head god "El".
If I could force all the Christians and Muslims and Jews fighting over that city to all get DNA tests, those morons would see as far as genes they are more mixed and related than any of them want to face.

Yeah, I found that out years ago. The OT makes more sense when you realize this god moses is worshiping is essentially a war god. That's why his solution to just about everything is "kill it". Or the threatening thereof.

BINGO, not looking to turn back the clock on 1948, but this is going too far.

Um yes they do. But to be fair, every religion in our species history has had it's conflicts to greater or lesser degrees.
Don't confuse one era or geography in one moment in time as being the totality of our entire species history. They have all had their violence, yes, even Jews, even today Jews have a far right too.
Buddhists and Hindus as well have their beefs and histories of both internal and external conflicts. There has never been in our species history a 100% peaceful religion. I'd even bet even the Amish could get violent in the future if given a majority political power. The Amish only are peaceful now because nobody sees them as a real rival or threat because they are so small by comparison to the bigger sects.
Humans are still humans regardless of label. Our species ability to be cruel or compassionate is not in a label, but in our evolution.
But specifically to the God of Abraham, nope sorry. They are the same line. And that line stems from a polytheism of rival city states which the Yahweh character stems from.
The west simply has learned to tamp down religious tribalism through concepts of secular common law. If you were to suddenly take that leash off in the west, it would not take long for those sects to be violent too.
