Probably. I'm not the usual hunter, and certainly not the great white hunter, lol. I've killed alot of things, all kinds of animals, but I tend not to take trophies and I know that I have no need for the meat. I'm pretty clear eyed about what I do and why.
Hunting grounds me and reaffirms who I am. I don't need it often so I don't hunt often. It's important to me because it's an expression of who I really am in a world where I've learned to hide relevant facts about that. Facts which ultimately refer back to the thread subject. I kill for killing, not because I'm hungry.
Let's get real. Anyone else boiling deer bones for glue...or is there a hole under your t-post that you dump the majority of the weight in as refuse? Any hunters forgoing cups to drink out of bladders? Patching their boots with hide? Saving cerebral fluid to tan? Boiling eyeballs for ink? Taking byproduct to manufacturers to be worked in pc's or laid down as sidewalk?
