Let us know how that goes.
As for helmets - good luck with that too. Riders who don't wear helmets see being forced to as a violation of their rights.
I told my husband when he had a Harley that I was glad he drove like a bat out of hell. He asked why...I told him that since he wouldn't wear a helmet if he wrecked going 140 mph it would kill him and I wouldn't have to deal with him drooling on himself for years.
I actually think that bikers who don't wear helmets are bloody idiots. Over here it's required by law.
I get tired of the argument "let those who ride decide" and the excuse that it doesn't affect others.
Except those who have to clean up the mess.
Um no, motorcycle riders like cars have to have insurance, helmet or not, if you wreck sure, they may pay out, helmet or not, but the end result is that everyone's insurance goes up. Insurance is a pool, car and motorcycle or van or truck or 18 wheeler. So even when it is not your fault, lawyers get involved, and even when it is not your fault, if there is a bodily injury, the entire industry raises their rates overall. Insurance isn't about protecting the buyer, no matter the vehicle, insurance to the CEOs and shareholders is about promising you a payout but paying as little to nothing if they can.
