First, when I had my snip done, the research said about a 1 in 100,000 chance of spontaneous recannalization. The odds go up if there was NOT crystalization at the ends of the snippage.
If the child is NOT yours, then you have to decide whether to stay with the mother or not. That will depend on whether you can re-establish trust in both directions.
Even if the child *is* yours, there is still the basic issue that you didn't want a kid. Truthfully, this is a *bad* issue to be forced on a person.
Unlike some here, I do NOT think that congratulations are in order *unless* you want to have a child. It is frankly a PITA that saps your energy with (for me) very little payback. I *hated* fatherhood and wish I had not gone along with it (under the advice of friends and family---AI).
In any case, i wish you the best of luck no matter which direction things play out.
