But to close this conversation: Nope they didnt. The retreat of the russian troops was part of the contract of german reunification with the allies. Germany paid with 8bio DM for the russian troops to leave. The fall of the wall wasnt initiated by americans, the reunification wasnt initiated by americans, and the americans didnt "push" russian troops out of Germany.
