Democrats need to stop worry about what the republicans may do to them in the futureM and worry about what they can do to make the Republicans pay more for what has been done to them in the past.
What the republican May do to them in the future becomes increasingly less daunting the higher the price the democrats exact for The republicans for what the republicans did to them in the past.
Exact the ultimate Political, and better yet, personal price from the republicans for what they did to the democrats in the past and never again would the democrats have to worry about what the republicans may do in the future.

Every effort before the first success is a failure.
The reason why the democrats lose and republicans win is the Type of reason you gave seems To the democrats to be a good one for not trying, but nothing seems to be a good reason to the republicans for not trying.
Lol, it’s not an excuse, it’s an observation of the political difficulties of attempting to expand the court. And, as much as I admire him, Roosevelt’s stated justification for trying to do was facile at best.
I’m not convinced that revenge politics is any more to be embraced than revenge porn. One-party states haven’t ever worked out that well.
