Note - nobody is talking about the election causing the current upswing in reported cases.

Somehow - nobody knows how - but somehow "righteous causes" like protesting in a crowd or lining up to vote don't spread viruses.....

I'm going to give you the benefit of the doubt and assume this is your way of criticising both sides of the political aisle, since it's the left (and the Dems) who've been pushing for mail-in voting for precisely that reason. That said, the evidence that the protests helped spread the virus is actually shockingly slim. Why, yes, I'm actually surprised by this, too.
