That guy is always the guy that all the dudes at the bar like because he is scrappy, but he actually turns off most women. Trump lost the election because he could not appeal to suburban women.
If the left and the media really don't like Trump and want him to go away, the best thing they could do is ignore him. When they start acting like he is Orange Hitler that only strengthens the support among his base because they think he is being mistreated.
