  I went and counted one time just to get an idea about our coffee mug count. We have 50+, just in the house. Then there are the xmas, Thanksgiving, whateverthefuckthatholidayis, places of interest, etc. We have close to a hundred mugs around here. If my wife pre-deceases me, there are going to be multiple 30-yard dumpsters in front of my house until that tonnage is gone. I could give them to the Goodwill or something, but I cruise those places for used furniture to cut up for new projects, because that wood is cheaper than new wood; it's also older and has tighter grain. They have coffee mugs everywhere, too!

Coffee mugs are the go-to gift when you can't think of anything else, it seems.

At our last house, my wife would put stuff she wanted to get rid of on the steps out into the garage, instead of just throwing it in the trash. The first time it happened, I asked what that stuff was doing there. She's really bad about just getting rid of stuff, no matter how broken, or whatever. So, if it was on the steps going into the garage, I took it to the trash barrel. Right up until something she actually didn't want thrown out got gone. Months later, she was looking for (whatever it was), and asked me about it. I asked her where she left it. Yup, on the steps to the garage. We had to go buy some stuff again that we really couldn't afford at the time.
