I've made three of them; the first two were great! I followed the instructions with precision, like a scientist. The breast I did this year was the worst turkey I've ever done! I just winged it with no attention to anything I thawed at room temperature, then used a full defrost cycle in the microwave, then cooked it for probably an hour longer than it needed. Even after all this the result was tasty, just stringy and dry.
It is the tryptophan.
On another note I found out about red-eye gravy and now think it will be a main staple of our thanksgivings. My wife added a bunch of spices to punch it up and the result was super tasty.
