My third wife sat dead on our couch for five days (embolism) before I got really scared and asked the hospital staff to call the local police. One of the things they said was "we gave them what seemed to be an appropriate amount of food and filled the water bowls." I checked myself out of the hospital and promised I'd continue physical therapy when I got home.
