So he's actually begun to go in and out on his own. When we're letting the dog in and out he comes up to the door like "Can I go out?"
He still meows at the door, but if he's going outside on his own, that tells me there's something he likes about being out there. I've even been carrying him off the porch a few feet and walking with him back to the front stairs.
Didn't know about tuna having mercury. We can use canned cat food. I was just thinking tuna would be a better reward. Having tried both, IMO, tuna tastes better.
