Hey guys it's been a while. Iv'e been stressed with college work. Iv'e slipped on this forum every so often but haven't had time to type up a response until now.
I want to tackle this first... Justthetruth please do every christian who actually uses their brains a favor and not post here again unless you have something intelligent to say... you're understanding of evolution is entirely flawed and thus you are unqualified to speak out against it. Evolution doesn't say we evolved from monkey rather a common ancestor. And Evolution is proven science there are two types micro evolution and macro evolution. Micro evolution is proven fact and deals with small changes within a species that don't make it an entirely new species such as adaptations and why different swallows from around the world have different features but they are still swallows. Macro evolution on the other hand deals with species changing and evolving so much that is becomes an entirely new species this one is not proven fact rather it is scientific theory supported by the fossil record, however there are many flaws with this theory. I believe that macro evolution did not occur rather each species was created then micro evolution took over from there. It's because of stupid and ignorant claims like this that much of the scientific community looks down on us. Rather than rejecting science why don't you actually use the brain God gave you and understand that no proven scientific finding has disproven the existence of God so there's no need to reject it.
I don't see whats wrong with being affiliated with Islam please clarify that. As far as the other religions are concerned: Islam, Christianity, and Judaism offer something completely different than every other religion out there, and that's a personal God who wants a personal relationship with his people. Surely if there really is a God who created everything then he would want to be involved with his creation as it grew. If a god is not personal and doesn't want a personal relationship with his creation then he's not god. I have an adopted sister and I gave her the opportunity to meet her physical parents and she told me "no, mom and dad are my parents not them. They abandoned me so there's no way I could call them my mom and dad." If you have a child but never communicate with it then you're not their "parents" the people who care for him are.
As far as your individuality and morals. I used to be an atheist and since becoming christian I've never lost my sense of individuality. In fact I would say becoming Christian gave me a bigger sense of individuality because I wasn't just another person in my school doing all the same stuff that everyone else does. I was different, I was my own person, I was an individual. I believe God created each of us uniquely and encourages us to focus more on being the individual he created us as then just following the crowd and what society does. And with morals, society does that anyway. Even if you were to reject everything you were told about morals and make your own moral code it would be shaped by something, the law, society, religion, etc.

I guess some of them did not get the evolution memo. Besides they have never told us what those apes and monkeys evolved from. When you refuse to accept the truth for what ever reason you start making stuff up. Amazing how willing some people are to accept evolving from a dumb monkey as opposed to being Created by an Almighty God. Sorry no monkeys in my family. I guess the monkey people will respond with their usual fowl mouth responses. Come on missing links have at me.

There are literally thousands of religions in the world, from Hinduism to Jainism to Cargo Cults to Scientology to Greek mythology. The religions are in no way compatible with each other, so you cannot believe them all. This is where Pascal's Wager falls down. How are you going to solve this problem?
Finally, I was going to rattle off a list of things 'to lose' by being religious, but they all basically come under one banner to a large degree. Essentially, I believe when you follow a religion such as Christianity, you sacrifice your intellectual integrity and individuality. You aren't able to make up your own mind on issues of morality, because you are already instructed what to think.
