Question, G-C.
Did the American Bison, Grizzly bear, Rattlesnake, and Big Horn Sheep also build boats and sail to the Americas?
No land bridges did exist not so long ago, ocean levels have been up and down over the last few thousand years. Birds are know to fly thousands of miles, reptiles have been found to float on logs for great distances, the mammals could have come across a land bridge from Russia to Alaska with little trouble. Geezzzz Min how do you think they got to the Americas.
If there was a very recent global flood which wiped out all land life apart from those on a single boat. You would expect land life to be pretty similar the worldover.
For example in Northwest Europe (which has a similar climate to West Coast of North America) would have giant conifers. However there are no native giant conifers in Northwest Europe.
Likewise there are no Redwood's, Douglas Fir and other giant conifers in Southeastern Australia and Tasmania. The climate is pretty similar to that of west coast of the USA. Yet instead giant (up to over 100meter) eucalypts grow instead of redwood.
