Legend that exists about dad to this day. It was castration day for some calves on a farm in the area. Apparently a few of them were a little older and rambunctious. One kicked the shit out of dad's shin and knee and he reached around and performed the castration by hand.
Part of the reason many of the boys in the area were afraid to ask me on a date. Dad wasn't one to be trifled with by man or beast.
