The current state of affairs is a humanitarian disaster made worse, chielfy, by us withdrawal.  They'll have a civil war soon enough as en entire generation of people grew up outside of taliban rule.  More will die.  If the "wrong side" wins that..it will happen again.  Again and again ad infinitum only for the refusal of others who could help...to help.  Only for the discord of taliban sympathizers amongst the otherwise helpful.

I thought the "humanitarian crisis" took place by the soviet invasion, followed by the U.S invasion ! I mean both invasions caused:
