Not what will happen....
What will happen is the biggest psychopath will bully his way into power - take the wheel- and drive the whole country off the nearest cliff..
That’s a likely outcome, no argument, but that’s exactly what will keep the Taliban occupied - the psychopaths jockeying for position. Not occupied forever, obviously, but it reduces any imminent threat to outsiders.
When your own house is on fire, it’s tough to make trouble for the neighbours.
