There are points where I think that, if I were president, I'd warn the country that any states with a sufficiently low vaccination rate by a certain date get quarantined almost entirely from the rest of the nation (interstate commerce and mail is okay, but nobody else goes in or out) as if they were hotspots for Ebola. Hell, even each other, so that even Alabama and Mississippi don't try to keep each other company. Naturally, all restrictions on travel would be removed as soon as they actually reach the threshold. That said, as of right now, only half of the fifty states have reached the threshold of half the population being fully vaccinated, and only Vermont has reached the two-thirds point.
There were points where I thought maybe separating them from the union altogether would be a good idea, but then I thought about it for more than two seconds and realised that it was a bad idea on every level, not the least of which being that many of those states with low vaccination rates are probably chomping at the bit for a chance to secede.
