Not everyone in Texas agrees with Abbott or his decisions. In fact, he appears to be trying to do everything he can before someone stops him.
The biggest issue with putting a stop to these recent insanities is that Abbott and cronies are convinced that companies won't leave the state. There are a ton of headquarters of major companies here in North Texas. Abbott is such a jerk that even if/when these companies start to leave Texas, or change their plans to move here, he will remain convinced that Texas doesn't need them.
It's pretty tense around here. At least I have gotten used to never leaving the house.
